Cape Ann dory - The Cape Ann Dory is a variant of the beach dory or Swampscott dory, both of which are descendants of the Banks dory. Cape Ann dories were often fitted with a small leg of mutton or bowsprit rig sail, a short folding centerboard, and washboards (bits of deck that run along side the boat to keep the water out when heeling).

The action was inconclusive, but the French fleet was prevented from entering the English Channel and escorting Napoleon's Armée d'Angleterre to invade Britain.
Cape Ann (Antarctica) - Cape Ann () is a projecting cape on the coast of Antarctica, surmounted by Mount Biscoe which rises to 700 metres. It was photographed from the air on December 22, 1929 by a Norwegian expedition under Riiser-Larsen in a flight from the Norvegia, and on January 14, 1930 photographed from the Discovery by the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) under Mawson.
